Daniel K. Algilani
Daniel K. Algilani is a skilled trial lawyer whose passion and dedication to his clients have resulted in millions of dollars in recoveries. In addition to being well versed in all aspects of civil litigation both at the trial and appellate levels, Dan has obtained countless successful outcomes before the Connecticut Workman’s Compensation Commission and in Social Security Disability hearings.
One of Dan’s most recent verdicts came by way of a trial entitled Serben v. Giglio, Docket No. UWY-CV11-6011578-S, Judicial District of Waterbury. Dan was the lead trial counsel in a case in which his client sustained personal injuries as a result of the defendant’s negligent operation of a motor vehicle. At trial, Dan’s successful cross-examination of the defendant’s expert witness, a highly regarded orthopedic surgeon, resulted in a verdict in favor of his client in the amount of $354,694.38. Dan’s recovery was nearly six times greater than the insurance company’s last offer to settle the case.
When he is not practicing law, Dan enjoys skiing with his family and he is actively involved in his community in Cheshire. He is a member of the Cheshire Democratic Town Committee, and currently serves as its Treasurer. In 2009, Dan won a seat to the Board of Finance in East Haven in a city-wide election.
Dan earned his BA from the University of Colorado, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was Phi Beta Kappa. Dan received his JD from Santa Clara University, where he was a member of the law review, and was a former intern with the Oakland Raiders. Dan is admitted is admitted to the Connecticut and New York bars.
