Justine joined The Flood Law Firm in 2024 and now focuses her practice on personal injury law, passionately advocating for those who have been harmed due to the negligence of others. She brings a compassionate, solution-focused approach to each case, drawing on a diverse background shaped by science, public interest work, and family law.
Before law school, Justine worked aboard research vessels with the University of Hawaii, where she supported the Hawaii Ocean Time Series by collecting critical oceanographic data related to water chemistry, currents, and marine ecosystems at Station ALOHA, located 100 kilometers north of Oahu.
During law school, Justine was deeply involved in a range of legal and advocacy roles. She worked closely with family court clerks and a lead judge, partnered with a grassroots environmental organization opposing irresponsible coastal development, and served in the Family Law Clinic alongside the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii, offering pro bono services to clients navigating divorce, custody, and paternity matters. She also contributed to the Hawaii Innocence Project, helping to fight wrongful convictions and seek justice for underserved individuals.
Justine began her legal career in family law, representing clients through complex litigation, particularly in high net-worth divorce cases and sensitive custody disputes. Her ability to approach high-stress situations with empathy and clarity now informs her work as a personal injury attorney, where she advocates fiercely for clients whose lives have been disrupted by injury.
As a military spouse and mother of three young children, Justine knows firsthand the meaning of resilience and determination. Justine often says her children are expert negotiators thanks to their early exposure to law school and courtrooms, and she considers them her greatest inspiration.
In her free time, Justine enjoys hiking, cooking, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her husband and kids.
