Lori McHugh

Lori McHugh brings decades of legal experience to her work representing individuals in personal injury matters. She earned her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut. Lori was admitted to practice in Connecticut in 1998 and in the U.S. Federal Courts in 1999.

Lori began her legal career as an insurance defense attorney, spending nearly a decade representing two large insurance companies. This experience gives her a valuable perspective on how insurers evaluate and defend claims. She later transitioned to plaintiff-side personal injury work, where she spent the majority of her career advocating for injured individuals alongside her husband. Today, Lori continues that mission at The Flood Law Firm, where she is dedicated to helping clients navigate challenging circumstances and pursue meaningful results.

Throughout her career, Lori has been involved in significant legal matters, including Hatt v. Burlington Coat Factory, a Connecticut Supreme Court case recognized as one of the top 25 decisions of 2003 by the Connecticut Law Tribune.

Lori is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. She is also involved locally with the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce and the Middlesex County Bar Association.

Outside of her legal practice, Lori enjoys traveling, skiing, golfing, and spending time with her family and friends.
